Happy Day at #HappyPlay
Last thursday (January 19th), friends from Indonesia Bermain's volunteers and I came to Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin (RSHS) for #HappyPlay session. Arrived at 9 AM, I was lost at RSHS for few minutes since this is my first time visiting the hospital. At the Pediatric Clinic, I saw some children are already joining with us. Others are still looking shyly from outside the playground. But then we tried to interact with them and they finally interested in playing with us while waiting for the doctors.
parents also excited to play along
I got the chance to play with some of the children who mostly around 2-4 years old. I forgot the name of the boardgames (since most of them are in German) but we played stitching, teddy bear puzzle, and more animals involved like crow and monkeys! It's very colorful and kids definitely loved it.
A boy named Zaki was shy at first. But as he played with Anchi and I, he started to grow a smile on his and our face. He's so adorable and tried every game that we offered to him. He still wanted to play with us after visiting the doctor and remained until our #HappyPlay session's over.

Riri, 3 years old, had a back support because of scoliosis from fractures. She needs to go to the doctor once a week to control her scoliosis. She's afraid with doctors but she forgot about it when she played with us. She cried so hard when she had to leave for control session but then she smile again when we greeted her after it.
Nofal and Petra met at this hospital and became friends. They have the same disease, Leukemia. But they share the same happiness that day. They spent their time here, from playing most of the games until coloring session.

Besides, there are 2 kids from children's development center of the hospital who joined us. Fatih and Clarissa. Even though they joined on the last hour of the session, but they seemed really enjoy playing with us.
Its 12:30 PM and we finished our session that day. Until the last minute, kids are still playing with us and their parents. When we started to pack up our stuffs, the playground felt so quiet. No more sounds of laughs from the kids or talks between us and them.
we might feel tired but nothing beats the happiness!
Happiness is very simple to find. A single happiness can really bright up a whole day. Can't wait for another session of #HappyPlay. If you are interested in joining this program, please visit Happy Play's website.

Jakarta Trip
My original plan was just visiting fX to see kinokuniya clearance sale. In the middle of my way using TransBintaro (yep, now I'm a proud frequent member of TransBintaro hahaha), I decided to visit Plaza Senayan as well as Senayan City by foot. This is my first time to visit 3 different malls in one day in Jakarta. I did this many times in Bandung, even 4 malls using angkot :P
The last time I went to fX was in 2009. There are quite changes and renovations here and there. Visited my favourite bakery "Pan-Ya" and bought my favourite Melon Pan and French Toast Sandwich. Going around fX, found some interesting places and shops, really want to stop by but I should moved to other place. But then heavy rain started so I went to Starbucks and have a little sip of Hot Vanilla Latte while reading Haruki Murakami's "Dance Dance Dance". I pronounced that fX's Starbucks will be my next home in Jakarta! Kinokuniya clearance sale has lots of interesting books especially Rachel Ray's but then I have to save up for Galaxy W!
Pan-Ya's Matcha Melon Pan and French Toast Sandwich
Next destination, Plaza Senayan! It was right on time when I arrived there for the Big Clock to open. Truly brought my childhood memories when I always insisted to go to Plaza Senayan just because the Big Clock. Going around again and found out that my favourite resto, "Pacific Diner" is changed into another chinese resto *crying* now where I have to find delicious matcha latte??? :(( Plaza Senayan was packed with office workers since it's lunch time. I decided to had my lunch with something that I cannot find in Bandung.
MOS Burger
I remember the last time I went to Plaza Senayan, I want to try it. But then I just couldn't resist the temptation of Match French Toast. I tried the Yakiniku Rice Burger and it was okay. Not impressed me so much. But at least I try :P
Move on to Senayan City, the air was so humid because of the rain. It was great. My friend once said, "Jakarta looks so sexy when it rains" but maybe for me it's so sexy after the rain :D I went to Senayan City more than PIM, which is something new since usually I prefer PIM than any other malls. The Lego Exhibition was over so I don't know what else to do. Going around the malls, I decided to catch up TransBintaro at 3 PM but the fact was I late for 10 minutes due to heavy rain while waling to Ratu Plaza so I had to wait for another one hour -___-
Oh my dear Jakarta, you never cease to amaze me. Next time, I'll have another daring adventure around Jakarta. Yeay!

merry 2012!Today is the first day of 2012! As usual, I spent my new year's eve with my family. Had a little BBQ but everyone's already sleeping at 10 PM. I was left alone. Watched cable TV and there were "Iron Man 2" and "Inception". While I watched "Inception", there was a message came, saying "Happy New Year". Time sure passed quickly... No fireworks for this year. It's not fun playing fireworks alone -_- So I decided to sleep and planned to woke up around 5 AM to see the first sunrise of 2012. But, it turned out to rain so hard so I decided to stay at my room and read my new book. It's Natsume Sōseki's こころ (kokoro). Found at periplus Pondok Indah Mall for 50% discount! Since I still cannot afford Haruki Murakami's 1Q84 (periplus is cheaper than kinokuniya for few thousand rupiahs, but still it's expensive), I buy this book first. I was hoping to see other Murakami's book there (especially at discount section) but I found nothing. I guess I have to ask later. Or I have to buy at kinokuniya (crying). There goes my new year's eve. What's my resolution? Haven't decided yet but all I know I have to try something new again. Volunteering is what I aim to do again in 2012. All I know is I have to feel grateful with what I have and work hard to achieve what I wish. Wishing you a wonderful 2012 :)
