Plans For The Future

I wrote this 7 years ago. In my previous blog.

I laughed when I read it, because I felt so naive back then.

For example, having a house with a huge fish pond.

Or getting married at the latest 3 years from now, when I reach 27 years old.

Even wished to get married with a doctor (specifically).

If i have to make 8 plans for the future, I won't change some points.

1) Getting married in a simple ceremony

2) Still able to do activites that I like, even though I have a family

3) Funding my little brother for his needs

4) Getting a trip around the world

5) Be a good, friendly and responsible mom for my kids and wife for my husband

6) Making sure that my mom feels proud of me

7) Making sure that my little brother always surrounded by happiness and love

8) Always grateful for anything in life

Hari ini saya tidak sengaja mampir ke tempat dimana dulu kita sering menghabiskan waktu.

Tempat kita berkenalan, membicarakan proyek, hingga meracau tidak karuan di tengah malam.

Mungkin alam bawah sadar saya sedang mencari jejak kalian saat ini.

Hari ini, saya meninggalkan pesan di sana.

Kalian tidak perlu membalasnya. Tidak perlu.

Kalian hanya perlu tahu apa yang saya rasakan.

Saya melihat lagi setiap sudutnya sambil mengingat kenangannya kembali.

Saya mencari sudut yang dulu sering saya kunjungi, walaupun kini ia tertutup.

Saya pun terbawa ke kenangan 6 tahun yang lalu.

It's The End For March

March 23rd, 2014

A week before the end of March.
There's so many happy and sad news in this month.

At this day, 3 weeks ago.
I hope to see you again one more time.
Just to say good bye and good luck.

But I think God had another plan for you and I.
We didn't get the chance to meet each other,
Even though we spent the last 2 days together.

I used to keep my good bye to the one I love.
There were too many 'good bye's in my mind and heart right now.
So, why can't I give one of it to you?

Java Jazz Festival 2014

I should admit that this is my first Java Jazz Festival experience even though the event is already exist for 10 years. Thank God that I got Press ID card so I can enter the event free for 3 days!

No good face for ID card :(

I've made my list of must-watched performance while I'm in Bandung. But I forgot to bring the list when I go back to Jakarta. And since I'm a very spontaneous girl, so I decided to visit every hall and stay if I like the performance for the first 15 minutes.

Well, it's not a bad decision either. I watched some extraordinary performances for 3 days. The most surprising thing is I watched more local artist instead of international artist. Balawan, Adhitia Sofyan, Jamie Aditya (wait.. he's a local, right?), Bubugiri, Krakatau Reunion , Dewa Budjana until the mainstream one like Raisa and Maliq & D'Essentials. I also watched Snarky Puppy, Dave Koz, Allen Stone and my favorite...

Schroeder-Headz!!!!

This year, they brought lots of Brazilian musician. I really hope next year they will bring Korean musician since they have lots of talented jazz musician. Clazziquai Project, Urban Zakapa, Humming Urban Stereo, 10cm, Brown Eyed Soul or even Busker Busker will be nice!

One Ok Rock live in Jakarta

I actually wanna watch the second show of moumoon (read my report here for the first show!), but because I had to make sure I'm fit enough to watch One Ok Rock's concert, so I decided to go home after the meet and greet.

I got media pass for One Ok Rock's concert, along with my PD, Tubagus Akmal (who played OOR's song everyday during #LoveCinta hahaha). We waited for 4 hours for the media registration to open, but during that time, we heard the sound check! They did awesome during sound check and I believed it will be more awesome during the show!

The gate opened at 6 PM and we ran to get a good position, but we still managed ourselves to bought OOR's merchandise like wrist band and t-shirt. Luckily, we got a very good position, right side of the stage and next to the barricade. Who would imagine that later Taka would jump down the stage and stand next to us while singing 'Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer'!!!

I don't know what happened to me but I cried again while they performed 'Be The Light', 'The Beginning' and 'Wherever You Are'. Hahahaha, just me being drama :')

Awesome lighting!!

Overall, I love the concert so much! They really rocked the night, and we love the promoter too since they kept on giving us water hahaha. Even though they didn't sing 'pierce' and 'the same as', but they really showed their best performance. The crowd was epic too, we sang together in all song (really remind me of Laruku concert last year) Can't wait to rock with them again!!!

moumoon live in Jakarta

I'm really excited the moment I know moumoon will perform in Jakarta for J-Music Lab.

Even though the next day I should attend One Ok Rock's concert (and check the report here!), but I can't help myself to watch their performance.

Departed from Bandung at 09:30 AM, I miscalculated the time since it's Saturday. I thought I will reached Senayan by 12 PM, but I arrived there 30 minutes later. Thanks God I still managed to get the ticket and watched it with my friends! :D

@moumoon_masaki is カッコいい and @moumoon726YUKA is かわいい

I really love the setlist! 'Sunshine Girl', 'Bon Apetit', 'Love is Everywhere', 'moonlight', 'DREAMER DREAMER' until the encore 'Chu Chu' was epic! I must admit that I cried during their performance hahaha. It's just, I can't believe that I finally can watch them live in Jakarta!! Even though they don't sing my favorite song, 'blue rain' and 'sweet heart', and I didn't watch their last encore where they sang 'good night'.

Yuka and Masaki were very communicative. They spoke English very well so we're happily replying what they said. And they were quite surprise that we spoke Japanese quite good (well, not me of course...) I can see they were really enjoy performing in Jakarta and had a really good time with the crowd...

Sign! Sign! My CD's got signed!!!!

And this lucky girl got her CD's signed!!! Had meet and greet session and see them reaaaalllyyy close made me speechless. I only told them that I work as a radio DJ and promised to tweet them when I play their song. So, expect me to play moumoon's song a lot during December HAHAHA! :D

I will wait their next performance someday. Hopefully it's going to be full band!

Fortune Telling

I have a special interest with fortune-telling and personality stuffs.

I remember, each of my family member has a book that represents their date of birthday. It's all about our personality and fortune from many perspectives.

During my high school days, I read a lot about tarot reading even though I have no tarot card. I also learned about palm reading.

Once, I had a palm-reading session with a Japanese grandmother. She said this and that and many stuffs. Until now, most of her reading is (surprisingly) correct hahaha.

Yesterday, I met a friend who happens to be a tarot reader. I asked 2 questions that bothered me for several weeks. And surprisingly (again), both had the same conclusion: I need to choose wisely...

After the reading, it makes me want to learn tarot reading again. Yeay!

Now I'm taking my time to think and to choose. Hopefully I make the best decision :)

Film Festival Experience

My first time attending a film festival was in Jakarta for JIFFEST (Jakarta International Film Festival) with Evan, watched a French movie called Bienvenue chez le Ch'tis. I was so in love with the movie and vowed to myself that I will attend more film festival. After moving to Bandung, I attended INAFFF (Indonesia International Fantastic Film Festival) and watched about 3-4 movies.

And I finally, I attended 2 more film festivals this year, German Cinema Film Festival and Korean Film Festival!

I only watched 1 movie called This Ain't California in German Cinema Film Festival. It was a fiction documentary film about skating sport in German during 80's. Divided into 5 (or 6?) parts, it shown the lifestyle of 80's German teenagers. It was a great movie :D

For Korean Film Festival, I watched 6 out of 10 movies. As for me, the best movie goes to Miracle in Cell No. 7 which brought me into tears and laughter at the same time. But the other 5 movies are great as well! The Grand Heist, Deranged, Runway Cop, Masquerade and How To Use Guys With Secret Tips are worth to watch!

Really looking forward to another film festival held in Jakarta or Bandung!

Kaizen

Kaizen (改善) means "continuous improvement". It comes from the Japanese words 改 ("kai") which means "change" or "to correct" and 善 ("zen") which means "good".

Yesterday, I went to Jakarta along with my friends as board game coaches for AON Indonesia's birthday with BR2C Team. We departed around 8 AM and arrived around 12 PM. The event started at 3 PM so we had time to set up our stuffs. We were quite nervous since there was change of plan of playing time from 45 minutes to 35 minutes. But it turned out as a challenging game session and we're happy to please everyone with a happy session.

At the end of the event, we held an evaluation called Kaizen. There are 3 parts; (a) impression of everyone during the process, (b) any positive things, (c) reflection on what needs to be improved. So actually, the last part is the real Kaizen. But I guess it's important to bring up the first 2 to build up an impression of the event.

My Kaizen for yesterday was I haven't mingled enough with the participant. I guess I need a lot of courage to take a part in conversation with stranger and found something to talk about. Remember that this to give you new knowledge in term of marketing and public relation!

Perhaps I will do the same thing if there's an event evaluation!

Time Flies

It's hard to believe that I'm going to have my last few semesters in uni. I still remember how I used to work hard so I can pass the uni test. And now I have to deal with my final task about dehalogenating bacteria.

During my stay in Jakarta, many of my big family member asked about my plan after graduate. I would love to apply for scholarship but I would try to apply for job. But they really pushed me to find some scholarship, maybe they just want to have abroad trip with visiting me as the reason.

Now some of my cousins are dealing with uni test and final school exam. As one of the eldest and still in uni, they asked me about how to deal with uni test and how to live and survive. I told them my stories and I had quite a lot of experience.

I'm almost 21 years and my mom always said to me how sad she is if she remembered the time where she left me alone at home to work and now her little girl is already grown up. Time flies so fast. And I don't want to waste my time for nothing.

Happy Holiday

HAPPY HOLIDAY!

Some chose to have short course, some chose to have internship. While I chose to spend quality time with my family. Last semester, I went to Jakarta once or twice in short period of time so I guess this 2 months of holiday will repay everything (and perhaps I will go back to Jakarta again for New Year holiday).

My plan is playing with my little brother, helping my mom on her work, supporting my cousins on their university admission test and having a long day of reading. And also visiting this year's Ennichisai with fellow friends from Bandung.

Flashmob and I

Bazaar SMAN 5 Bandung - Fivelive Battlefield Flashmob

I made the choreography for Raise Your Glass - Glee Version, Glow - Madcon, What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) - Kelly Clarkson and I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas (teamed up with my superb Hafidz :*). Practiced for about 2 months with some minor changes within few weeks before the D-day. Couldn't be there to see it live is really devastating. But saw the reaction on twitter and watched the video, I couldn't be more proud to all of them :) :)

Excited yet super nervous. But since I danced with fellow gleeks, it turned out to be amazing and we asked for more *chuckles* Will be joining for the next Glee Flashmob for sure :D

L'Arc~en~Ciel 20th Anniversary World Tour 2012: Jakarta

It felt like a dream come true.

Lapangan D Senayan - May 2nd, 2012

The concert was held on Wednesday. I supposed to have a lab exam and lecture on that day but there were none! So I went to Jakarta on Tuesday evening and planned on getting the ticket on D-Day.

First Gate

Met with friends from Bandung there and decided to queue with them. Entering the first gate, I separated with them since I had to give my friend's ticket to her driver. But I'm 30 minutes earlier arrived inside than the others. Since most of them got Regular Ticket, I decided to wait for Pandu-Senpai to queue along in Premium Ticket.

The queuing line was insane. No crew that supposed to arrange the line. So we had to arranged and told the others about the line. But they gave us some kind of flashlight to put on our finger. Cool! The gate was supposed to open at 6:30 PM but they opened in at 5:00 PM. Maybe to make everyone inside by the time the concert start. It took in total 2:30 hours just to queue in gate 1 and 2. When entering the venue, I asked the guy who gave me wristband, "Is it really L'arc~en~Ciel concert in Jakarta???" and he said "Sure it is! Please enjoy the show.". It brought me to tears just to enter the venue, saw my wristband and heard the instrumental song of XXX and Link in the venue. Pandu-Senpai even screamed happily when entering the venue. Then I had to wait another one hour since the show starts at 8:00 PM. Waiting is not really a problem since all the Cielers are really friendly and we joked about things that may happen on the show (like the show is late just because Tetsuya needs to finish his Pisang Goreng or Ken is trying Rokok Kretek and asking for more for the show).

The Stage

It's almost 8:00 PM when the rain started to pour lightly. There's an announcement stated that if thunder rain happens, the show must be stopped immediately. But then the rain stopped. And the VCR started to play. Everyone's cheering. Me, who's just 160 and coming to her very first concert, struggled just to see what happened on the stage. And suddenly the intro of "Ibara no Namida" played. I'm still looking around to see where the guitar sound came from when I heard Hyde's voice. Then I saw little silhouettes of Hyde and Yukkie on stage. Also Ken and Tetsuya from the big screen. And my tears won't stop coming. I thought it's from a CD or something before I saw them. I raised my lightstick with my right hand while my left hand kept wiping my tears and I still sang along.

And all the songs just flow smoothly with all the chants from Cielers. We're pointing to the members in "CHASE" (I'm chasing you). Had a little mistake when singing "GOOD LUCK MY WAY" (shinjiru michi he). Jumped crazily in "HONEY" (I want to fly, waiting for sunrise). Never end chant in "DRINK IT DOWN" (let down, you feel, trust falls, break down). Cheered on Yukkie for "REVELATION" (revelaaatiooon~). Made a wave of lightstick in "Hitomi no Juunin" (miagereba kagayaki wa iroasezu afurete itai). Made X sign using our lightstick in "XXX" (step into fascination, trap of infatuation, kiss).

When it came to "fate", I was pushed to the front. Sang "fate" and "forbidden lover" alone while others just waved their lightstick. I felt like an old fangirl (well, I am!) and I cried even more during these 2 songs. Then we had another energetic moment in "MY HEART DRAWS A DREAM" (yume wo egaku yo, our hearts draw a dream) and also SEVENTH HEAVEN (stairs to the seventh, running up to heaven, yeah).

The best part when Hyde gave his mic to Cielers for "Driver's High" verse. I know he didn't do it in any other live (except in Premium Night) so I believe Hyde and the rest of the members really appreciate Indonesian Cielers that night. Then goes "STAY AWAY" with the cool dance VCR (cause it's stain, stay away) and "READY STEADY GO" (are you fucking ready?).

Before Encore, we were asked to do a body wave according to the VCR. But then another raindrop falls. We started to sing "Anata" reff and suddenly the lyrics appeared. The members then appeared and sing "Anata" while we sang along and wave our lightstick and I cried again during the song (anata ga iru kara). Magically, the rain stopped after "Anata" finished. The next song which made them really popular in Indonesia, "The Fourth Avenue Cafe" and all the fanboy sang it loudly (kisetsu wa odayaka ni owari o tsugeta ne). "Link" was next with everyone joined the rhythmic clapping before the last reff (tatoe haruka tooku hanarebanareni nattemo tsunagariau omoi).

As usual, last song was "Niji". But, everyone started to chanting "Blurry Eyes" right after "Link". All the members look confused. I knew most of the fan here in Indonesia fell in love with them because of "Blurry Eyes" so that's why we chanted for it. But then Hyde said that "Niji" is their last song and we started to sang along (soredemo omou anata anata no koto o).

Everything seemed surreal. Tetsuya started to throw all the banana he had in the basket. Yukkie and Ken disappeared from the stage. Tetsuya and Hyde promised they will be come back to Jakarta. I still couldn't believe that I just watched their concert. And then they gone. People started to walk out of the venue while me sat on the ground, looked to the stage and made myself believe that I just watched them (hey, Yukkie's awesome drum's still there!)

Even though there was "No Camera" rule and they posted it everywhere, people still recorded with their phone. For me, who came to enjoy the show, it really bothered me since I couldn't see them clearly because those phone blocked them (or maybe it's just me who's short). And everyone seemed to put it in internet. Since Indonesia concert will be put in a DVD, so I think everyone should save up their money to buy the DVD to watch the concert instead hoping others to upload the video in internet.

Since most of the songs in the playlist were from "Butterfly" album, I didn't really remember the lyrics. I really hope if one day they hold a concert again, they will play songs from each of their album. If I can make the setlist, it will be (based on album):

Gleek Indonesia Flashmob

After having my first time volunteering, I finally had my another "first-time-moment"

By it's very definition, Gleek Bandung is about opening yourself up to joy.

Flashmob is something that pretty popular in Indonesia. For promoting brands, supporting artist to come to Indonesia or just for fun. And what I did was for inviting Glee Cast to hold their Glee Tour in Indonesia (which apparently they won't do it in 2012).

I found out about this flashmob through twitter. They were opening registration so I asked 2 of my friends to join along (which later just one of them still continue). Since the venue is in Jakarta, we had to go Bandung-Jakarta for the big practice day and the D-Day.

I'm not a great dancer. Just an ordinary person who like to try to do some dance movements like those Japanese or Korean. I remember when I was in kindergarten, I joined dance routine for an event but I dance the boys part (since my teacher back then said my body feature's like boys LOL). Like I mentioned in my previous post, Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" always intrigued me to dance along. So I'm not that stiff to do some movements.

As for that reasons, I was chosen as one of the trainer along with 2 other boys (YES! I'm the only girl!). We were also the representative from Bandung to do the opening act with other trainers from Jakarta, Bekasi and Depok. Which for me it's something amazing yet making me nervous.

Those who registered for Bandung area are about 100 people. But, as Darwin said, natural selection does exist. It came down until no more than 15 people. We always making it as a joke and an excuse, "At least we can making it to Sectionals ! :D". As for practice venue, we did it in an open space since it's free and spacious.

Lots of things happen during the few days of D-Days. Thinking about choreography for dance break on opening act, a person who can replace one of the trainer since he can't skips work as well as the accommodation and transportation. Thanks God we can making it successfully.

Jakarta Trip

I was born and raised in Jakarta. But to be honest, I never get to trip around Jakarta by myself. I love to stay at house and go outside just for books. My adrenaline rush starts just few years ago when I move to Bandung, concluding that the "outside world" is so awesome. So, I decided to give myself a little taste of Jakarta today.

My original plan was just visiting fX to see kinokuniya clearance sale. In the middle of my way using TransBintaro (yep, now I'm a proud frequent member of TransBintaro hahaha), I decided to visit Plaza Senayan as well as Senayan City by foot. This is my first time to visit 3 different malls in one day in Jakarta. I did this many times in Bandung, even 4 malls using angkot :P

The last time I went to fX was in 2009. There are quite changes and renovations here and there. Visited my favourite bakery "Pan-Ya" and bought my favourite Melon Pan and French Toast Sandwich. Going around fX, found some interesting places and shops, really want to stop by but I should moved to other place. But then heavy rain started so I went to Starbucks and have a little sip of Hot Vanilla Latte while reading Haruki Murakami's "Dance Dance Dance". I pronounced that fX's Starbucks will be my next home in Jakarta! Kinokuniya clearance sale has lots of interesting books especially Rachel Ray's but then I have to save up for Galaxy W!

Pan-Ya's Matcha Melon Pan and French Toast Sandwich

Next destination, Plaza Senayan! It was right on time when I arrived there for the Big Clock to open. Truly brought my childhood memories when I always insisted to go to Plaza Senayan just because the Big Clock. Going around again and found out that my favourite resto, "Pacific Diner" is changed into another chinese resto *crying* now where I have to find delicious matcha latte??? :(( Plaza Senayan was packed with office workers since it's lunch time. I decided to had my lunch with something that I cannot find in Bandung.

MOS Burger

I remember the last time I went to Plaza Senayan, I want to try it. But then I just couldn't resist the temptation of Match French Toast. I tried the Yakiniku Rice Burger and it was okay. Not impressed me so much. But at least I try :P

Move on to Senayan City, the air was so humid because of the rain. It was great. My friend once said, "Jakarta looks so sexy when it rains" but maybe for me it's so sexy after the rain :D I went to Senayan City more than PIM, which is something new since usually I prefer PIM than any other malls. The Lego Exhibition was over so I don't know what else to do. Going around the malls, I decided to catch up TransBintaro at 3 PM but the fact was I late for 10 minutes due to heavy rain while waling to Ratu Plaza so I had to wait for another one hour -___-

Oh my dear Jakarta, you never cease to amaze me. Next time, I'll have another daring adventure around Jakarta. Yeay!
